Rescue dogs are some of the toughest guys around, as some of them may have gone through some horrific conditions. This is why COALDR is so focused on finding our dogs their absolute fur-ever home. Our dogs deserve their own chance of a lifetime.
As an organization focused majorly on dachshunds, we need our supporters to understand both the numerous special positives and also possible negatives of owning this breed. Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD) is a serious spinal injury that occurs in dog breeds with elongated backs. 25% of all dachshunds may suffer from IVDD, and can be very costly to treat. While this disease may not ever happen to your happy puppy, it is still extremely important to know about the possibility of it occurring.

(FOR SENIORS THE FEE ALSO INCLUDES A SENIOR BLOOD PANEL FOR DOGS AGE 9 YEARS OLD & UP. ANY PERTINENT VETTING THAT IS DEEMED NEEDED BY OUR VET FOR THE HEALTH OF THE DOG WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED (EX – THYROID PANEL, DENTAL..ETC)
TRANSPORT AND QUARANTINE FEES IF APPLICABLE
ANY DOG UNALTERED ON INTAKE WILL BE SPAYED/NEUTERED BEFORE ADOPTION UNLESS OUR VET RECOMMENDS A DELAYED PROCEDURE DUE TO THE HEALTH OF THE DOG. IN THIS CASE, A SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT WILL BE PROVIDED.
