Co-Founder | President
I am the Co-founder/ President of our Board of Directors & also serve as Northeast Regional foster, transport & quarantine coordinator. As president my responsibilities include: presiding over board meetings as we work to implement new policies & procedures for adoption & vetting of our rescue dogs, offering support to other board members when needed & speaking with adopters, fosters & veterinarians when decisions regarding intricate cases need to be evaluated.
As the Northeastern Director, I supervise all incoming foster homes, state licensing, adoptions, transport arrangements from other states & the quarantine reservations & health requirements of dogs entering Mass per MDAR regulations.
I have been involved with rescue for the past decade. Rescue is my passion. Seeing these pups happy in loving forever homes is my reward.
Rescue has taught me that it takes a village to help a pup in need! Also, so many of these pups come from horrendous backgrounds yet they go on, survive & make the most of their lives. Chance, who the rescue is named after, was my dog who persevered even though the odds were against him.

When Christine is not rescuing dogs she enjoys spending time with her family & friends trying new restaurants, attending concerts or trying her luck at a nearby casino.
I am one of the co-founders of the rescue and am on the Board of Directors. The majority of my work is done behind the scenes. I do a lot of transporting of the pups up North. This can be anywhere from picking up the pups at the Massachusetts quarantine facility and driving them to the foster parents or adopters to getting the pups out of the shelter when the call comes in. I also assist with fundraising events and work with the company that hosts our database.
I have been involved in rescue for over 10 years now. After 9 years working with other rescues, Christine and I decided to open up our own rescue in 2023. We named it after Chance who was one of our pups. We adopted him from a previous rescue and was told he would never walk again. With his grit and determination it did not take long for him to prove everyone wrong. You can read his story here. EVERY pup deserves a Chance.
When not in rescue mode, I enjoy spending quality time with our own pups and taking pictures of them in “different” situations. My favorite pictures contain the weather and pups together. I also love to eat out at new restaurants, trying my luck at the casino every once in a while, working outdoors in the yard and spending time with the family.

Rescue started as a way for me to give back to my community 14 years ago and has lead me to start COALDR to make a bigger impact on the homeless pet population in the southeastern states. The pictures of our rescued dogs with their new families, living their best lives, are the dream we have for all homeless animals.
When not rescuing dogs, Stephanie runs her own accounting firm and enjoys travel, cooking, and movies.
Upload & Save to COALDR’s Pawlytics Rescue Database all documents related to the dog’s Surrender and Intake, Veterinarian Medical & Dental visits, and Microchipping.

I refer to all dogs as Puppies. I think this is because no matter how old a dog is, it always has the spirit of a puppy. Even the oldest and most physically challenged dogs will look for an opportunity to run and play. With our rescue, we give dogs the support they need to run and play and be a Puppy again. For me, that Puppy Spirit is contagious and inspiring.

My first dog was a Chihuahua-Dachshund Mix; her name was Puppy.

Originally from England I moved to the US in 2008. I currently live in Oklahoma with my fiancé Chris and work full-time as an Operations Manager and Data Analyst for a successful marketing company.
My creative interests are music, collecting cacti and succulents, learning to picture-frame and spending time with our three family dogs.
While I’ve had a love for animals since a child, my passion for animal rescue came a little later in life when I started fostering for a local rescue in California and then began meeting other passionate folks involved in rescue while networking dogs in need.
I am honored to work with my friends here at COALDR and continue to help change the lives of rescue dogs. There’s no greater joy for me than helping find a perfectly matched forever family for the wonderful dogs we take into our care.

I love seeing dogs get a second chance at life and how happy they are entering their furever home and being loved. These pups may need a little extra love, care, and time, but the outcome is always worth it. As Chance's "sissy," I am thrilled to honor him through this rescue.
Fun Fact: I love to travel and am working towards visiting all 50 states - and then hopefully all 7 continents!

What I love about rescue is the fact that every dog is given the chance to be treated with love and care no matter what their circumstances are.

A fun fact about Nikki is that she has pet neocaridina shrimp, guppies, a Russian Blue kitty, and a crested gecko!
