🐾 MEET THEA! 🐾 Thea is a 12 lb sweet dachshund mix who is an affectionate little girl who absolutely loves her people. Once she gets to know you, she is devoted, loving, and yes — she LOVES to cuddle. ❤️ But Thea’s life hasn’t always looked like this. Before coming to our rescue, Thea had spent months living confined in a basement, 24 hours a day. When she arrived, we discovered she was pregnant. Just one week later, she gave birth. Thea raised her babies, watched over them, and did everything she needed to do. Today, all of her puppies have gone home. Now it’s Thea’s turn. ❤️ And we want to make sure the home she gets is truly the right one. Thea may be a lap dog, but she is NOT a couch potato! 😂 She is a young, energetic girl who needs an active home that can give her the physical activity and stimulation she needs every single day. She would love regular walks, adventures, hiking, playtime in the yard — and then, when she’s gotten her energy out, she’ll be more than happy to curl up with you for some serious snuggle time. 🏡 Thea’s ideal home: • An active single person, couple, or family • Older children are fine, but no young children • A fenced-in yard where she can safely run and play • Daily walks and activity are a must • A playful dog around her age, size and energy level would be a huge plus Thea does well with other dogs, but what she would really benefit from is a true playmate — another dog who actually wants to run, wrestle and play with her. She enjoys going for walks and being out and about with her people. She generally does well in the car, although she can occasionally get a little carsick. Most of all, Thea is just a very, very sweet little dog. Once she bonds with you, she loves you with everything she’s got. After spending months in a basement and then raising a litter of puppies, this little girl deserves something that’s finally just for her: Her person. Her family.
